I'm half way through the season... It is really spectacular.

We really enjoyed it. Good cast too.

The setting is amazing, the acting is something else entirely. I haven't felt like someone was off cue or that they were in front of a green screen yet in the season. Top notch for a science fiction series.

I enjoyed it as well although I agree the acting wasn't great in some places

You misunderstood. I haven't seen a point in the first 5 episodes where the actors weren't on point. The only problem I have seems to be the personality disconnect between Kovacs prime (when he was on Harlan's World) and Kovacs when he was on Earth. Granted it's been 250 years so that may be part of it.

Oh you haven't finished it yet. Tell me if you have the same opinion when you're done

      Will do.

I saw that too. Can't tell what was intentional or not.

Having two different actors playing the same character I can imagine would be difficult. But Kovacs prime hasn't suffered the loss the Kovacs Earth has so part of me thinks it was intentional.

I don't think it's intentional, but when you finish the show we will have an interesting conversation for sure. I don't want to accidentally give away any pieces of the story so I'm just going to wait.

Some of the actors nailed it. The hotel was my favorite character. I also thought Joel Kinnaman did a great job. Ortega was inconsistent. She had good scenes and she had bad scenes in my opinion. There were also some side characters that didn't play their roles well, yet others again nailed it. Don't want to give away plot points for such a new show so I can't give real examples.

Ortega is an emotional character throughout the show. Which makes sense with the things happens around her.

Yeah, but I mean inconsistent in the sense that she is sometimes a good actor and sometimes not. Just my opinion

Have you read the books for the Expanse? How does the show compare if yes?

This one is pretty good take on British murder mystery. Hope they make more seasons
And it has The Cat, playing a constable and drinking beer.

Here is a list of mystery shows on NF if any of you are fans of the genre.

I've seen Luther and Longwire. Very good shows.

I've watched some of it but I'm sure I can finish it. At first, I thought it was going to be a full CGI movie like Final Fantasy or Resident Evil. Its more blended.

@black3dynamite Those two are very good.
Midsomer Murders is probably the best classic whodunit of all of them.
Also the title theme features theremin prominently.
