@scottalanmiller Thank for clearing that up.

Why can't we get a simple & concise guide to external logging?

Because XS isn't up and running in the NTG lab yet and no one else is actively working on it to completion.

      Well, I am.

But can I borrow your brain for the next few days, haha.

Go for it. First thing we need to do is test those new files.

OK, when I get in today, I'll look at the logging mechanisms, and post to the other thread I have going.

Create a clean thread, should be easier to follow.

            Will do.

What was the resolution with your thread. Didn't you post something about this like last week?

Oh wow this topic, I got graylog working for the log rotation from my hosts.

Use Xen Orchestra as your backup appliance.

@DustinB3403 No more logs written to your USB, 100% logs are going to graylog?

Wait...did you get it to work on 6.5?

The last we talked you did not. XS kept overwriting your config file.

I assumed we "are" talking about 7.0?

                                Yes, it works on XS7.

@DustinB3403 was running into the same issues I was on 6.5.

There is dicsussion that some other process is changing it back, but we have not started to troubleshoot that. (I no longer have any XS6.5 boxes here.)
