Preparing Windows 8.1 for Guacamole Support
-
Following my guide on installing Guacamole 0.9.9 on CentOS 7, you might want to set Guacamole up to talk to Windows 8.1. In order to do so we just need to follow a few simple steps:
First in the menu, look for "Allow remote access to your computer", here shown at the bottom of the list.
Once open, select Allow remote connections to this computer and uncheck Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication
That's it, RDP should be enabled and Windows should open the necessary firewall ports automatically.
