Just finished a video interview. It was the first I've done like that where the system presents a question and then you record yourself answering it. When you're happy with your response you submit it. An interesting solution to the phone screening. Not necessarily better, but a decent solution for a carefully staffed organization.
I've heard of this as an interview method/screening process for hospitals over here. Never thought it'd be also used for IT people.
It was the standard intro questions, e.g. Tell us about yourself, Why do you want this job, Why did you leave your last job, etc. Wasn't anything industry or job specific.
At what point are you honest?
Why do you want this job? It pays more money then my last job.
Why did you leave your last job? It paid less money then this job is offering.Really - those aren't good reasons for a company to hire you though. They don't care about your financial motives - in most cases. They do care about it only up to the point that you quit because of it.
Instead of saying they paid less, you pay more, something like - I'm looking for more personal advancement than my current employer provides. If they ask for you to expand, mention things like educational growth, exposure to new technologies and challenges and financial advantages.

This looks more like the reverse angle of the Hoff eating a cheeseburger on the floor... Sans cheeseburger.

I think their rep is crying now. That was a very loud and angry call that we just had.

All they had to do was not lie to me.

They actually said we'd had no outages and nothing could be found... even though it was our 16th outage, we were down when I called, and yesterday's rep saw that the whole village was down.
And they closed our engineering escalation ticket on us without any resolution!
-
@scottalanmiller Good luck with that

Support lies to me and my face fills up with blood.
Then someone else in management supports what support says.
Not much is said after we make eye contact -

Apparently AT&T just entered the market. They aren't great, but they aren't bad.

AT&T is just slow and very bureaucratic about their procedures.
Here's the email for the email you're going to receive about your service. Be on the lookout for it.
Here is the email that we said was coming and is now here about the great service that we will provide to you with subpar support and antiquatedly inspected installers
This email is to schedule the phone call so that we can schedule the installation of your services. For this, we need all of your IT staff watching and waiting on us along with some other supervisors that we bring along just to make sure we're doing it right.

At this point, AT & T would be better than Comcrash.
