Looks like my hunch was wrong, but I did fix one problem (incorrect database username). Now hunting down the next error I see in the zabbix log files.

Problem was with selinux, which was solved by running the commands mentioned in Jared's how-to thread again.

I still see this when running sealert -a /var/log/audit/audit.log | grep zabbix.

**** Invalid AVC allowed in current policy ***

type=AVC msg=audit(1513571214.837:182): avc:  denied  { create } for  pid=2221 comm="zabbix_server" name="zabbix_server_preprocessing.sock" scontext=system_u:system_r:zabbix_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:object_r:zabbix_var_run_t:s0 tclass=sock_file

Despite this, the zabbix GUI shows that the server is running now.

What kind of pre arranged maintenance is on your list?
Like looking at logs, verifying backups, monitoring disk usage, etc.

Nothing is scheduled for today. I have stuff to do Tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday though.

I'm sitting on a 20+ year old Inter-Tel Axxess system I hope to get rid of next year.

LOL - yeah, I still need to kill the VLAN we have because of the vendor and my lack of knowledge when the VOIP system was put in place. Unfortunately, if there are any hickups.. my boss will blame me.

And you haven't gone crazy yet? After a couple of days by myself, I tend to have some problems.

I tend to decline pretty fast. I was losing my mind by the end.

That's a long time, by the end of Spiceworld I just wanted to spend time with them.

The idea of alone time is great... but in practice, even after a few hours, you start getting crazy. Can't imagine 10 days.

I haven't been away from my family for more than half a day in years.
