I think Jared had the same issues with him.
You never responded to my post in that thread to just use the Synology pseudo RAID5 setup as it is a backup target and not production.
That can be RAID 6, too.

dnf -y upgrade && dnf upgrade --refresh && dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade && dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=27 && dnf system-upgrade reboot -

SOme stuff was deleted, as I expected. I'm not taking issue there. But that anyone thinks so little of themselves or their profession or the community to actually defend Robert is unthinkable. What pieces of crap people are. That guy is a jerk and honestly is just there to hurt people who don't know any better. I honestly think that he thinks that it is funny.

@scottalanmiller That's one reason why I only post what I post. I'd rather say nothing than say something that's likely wrong and cause harm. Unless I'm making an obvious joke, I can't fathom willingly giving bad information.

Was hoping for a free Linux bare-metal restore backup solution through Relax-and-Recover. That didn't work out, and there are no others I can find like it.
So... FWBackups / RSync is the winner on this special-case Fedora 26 physical server.

Accidentally causing harm is unlikely. Robert is intentionally lying about a test he faked to mislead people and discredit actual math. It's a very different thing. And something he has a track record of doing.

Was that setup with LVM? You know something as simple as a usb stick can be added to the volume group in order to grab a snapshot of the system, right?

Spiceworks has created a culture of "math is opinion". They inject "opinion" and "preference" as if they override anything and everything. The truth, or math, or facts are just "opinions" and they think that you can say anything, anytime because everything to that community is accepted if you treat it as opinion.
That's why everything has been changed drastically as everything is relative to something. There is gotta be a point where facts take precedence.
