Going to browse some forums then heading to sleep. Kickstart kicked my ass tonight. Looking forward to round 2: "Get past 'Failed to save storage configuration'" when I get home from work tomorrow.

You know that when you do a manual install, it always creates a kickstart file for you in /root, right? Makes it really easy to look at a known good example.

You know that when you do a manual install, it always creates a kickstart file for you in /root, right? Makes it really easy to look at a known good example.
That's what I've been using as a template. First is was griping because said file used vda as the storage devices, rather than sda. Changing vda to sda fixed that, but then there was griping about being able to allocate partitions. At that point my brain was becoming tired. I'll give it another stab when I'm fresh tomorrow, and will probably make a thread about the adventure :D.

One of the great things about it not being 2008 any longer is that we don't really have any need for things like Kickstart any more, either.

Something that we posted is creating some serious evening "read" traffic on the site. Last two hours have seen really high guest traffic.
It was a busy posting day, but nothing crazy.

Me too, that is why I stopped offering my services although they know very well that when things hit the fan they call me. I explain to them that I had already noted this months and years ago.
It's a miracle that Pops hasn't been smited (smitten, spontaneously combusted, etc, etc) for some of the language he's passed around at some of the committees at the church he runs cameras for after stuff like that happens... Funny thing is, the Preacher agrees with him, ha ha.

So, we used to get updates on Saturday, giving them 2 days to test the production system before the bulk of their customers started using... and now THIS....

What's scary? The preacher agreeing with him? Well... The preacher won't cuss up a streak at the committee members to get them to listen, ha ha.

I wonder whether or not I'm simply kidding myself or if there truly are positions in IT that aren't primarily focused on supporting users' efforts for using Microsoft Outlook.
