A garbage plate, without watching the video and living in rochester is simply, your choice (in most establishments) of 2 burgers / hot dogs / sausage patties / with your choice of two sides being home fries, French fries, baked beans, or macaroni salad.
It's greasy as all hell, but absolutely a great and tasty lunch. Don't expect to be motivated to do much afterwards. They're not a 2 pound steak, but will fill everyone up, definitely great after a night out with the guys.
Just great food in general, but probably takes 1 day off per plate you eat over your lifespan.
