voip.ms and VoicePulse are great starting points. Voip.ms is very cheap. VoicePulse is one of the more expensive ones today at $11/mo for four "lines."

the matter is i don't have a payment card to buy anything online and this trial i want it for my personal learning not in business

that will be an issue with any VoIP provider. I don't know of any that don't require a credit card. Hmmm... interesting challenge.

Google Voice can be used that way, worth trying out.

I had google voice working on my C@C FreePBX months ago - seemed OK.

But as Scott mentioned, getting a local number to you may be impossible.

US is definitely available. But generally many others are too.

Yes, the world's phone systems are based around the US phone system, so nearly all phone services eventually terminate there. Most VoIP providers are there.

If places like Qatar would open their phone systems and make them available to vendors, VoIP companies would move in there too. Too many countries lock down their phone systems making it difficult or impossible for VoIP to function there.

The phone system is very antiquated. Probably about time for it to go away.

yes you are right, because voip calls made revolution in the phone systems industry, and they lock the market so that they can keep high rate phone calls and not having competitors

That plan is no longer available for new purchase. They have switched to a model similar to VoIP.ms. They branded it VoicePulse FIVE. https://five.voicepulse.com/business/

They are more expensive than VoIP.ms by double on the outbound US calling, but the inbound is the same as VoIP.ms. Toll free is a bit higher, DID are a bit higher.

If VoicePulse offered more than 2 datacenters, or if I lived on the coasts, I would consider this new plan.

Technically, no. Google Voice does not provide a SIP trunk. They never have and pretty much never will unless they significantly change the way they have chosen to operate.

What you can do with Google Voice is make use of XMPP to connect your PBX to your GV account and have it initiate a call.

At the core, GV was designed as a call forwarding service. It was originally a product called GrandCentral (and I had the service). Google bought the company in 2009.

                                          Yes, quite unfortunate.
