free trial from a VOIP provider

Hi everybody
i want to try my freePBX therefor i want to know whether someone know a VOIP Provider that gives a SIP Trunk trial period ??
so that i can test my FreePBX, knowing that i want this SIP trunk to allow me to dial local calls and international calls (county : Qatar)thank you very much

Phone systems are never free, even for trials, because of the way that they are - they are low margin, per minute usage systems. If you want to trial them, you just pay for them. What does a month of service cost? $2, $5, $11 tops! Vendors know that if you want pay $5 to test for a month, you won't buy at the end of the month. And it costs them money to deliver that service, potentially more than the $5 if you use the service heavily depending on how they bill.
To trial VoIP, just buy a VoIP service. You only pay for what yo use. There is really no need for a trial.

Same with Internet. Imagine calling an ISP and asking for a month of free Internet access in order to "test out using the Internet." No one is going to do that. But you can pay for a month of service and if you don't like it, cancel it and only pay for the one month.
Same with water, sewage, medical care and other utilities.

I don't believe that any VoIP vendor is going to be able to get you phone numbers in Qatar though. You will likely be stuck with a US or European number.

Or maybe something like Bahrain, UAE, etc.

that will be an issue with any VoIP provider. I don't know of any that don't require a credit card. Hmmm... interesting challenge.

Google Voice can be used that way, worth trying out.

I had google voice working on my C@C FreePBX months ago - seemed OK.
But as Scott mentioned, getting a local number to you may be impossible.

US is definitely available. But generally many others are too.

Yes, the world's phone systems are based around the US phone system, so nearly all phone services eventually terminate there. Most VoIP providers are there.

If places like Qatar would open their phone systems and make them available to vendors, VoIP companies would move in there too. Too many countries lock down their phone systems making it difficult or impossible for VoIP to function there.
The phone system is very antiquated. Probably about time for it to go away.

yes you are right, because voip calls made revolution in the phone systems industry, and they lock the market so that they can keep high rate phone calls and not having competitors
