Getting back into the swing of things here. Got to see friends and family on the 4th, and dodge a few fireworks... It was fun!

Was a nice weekend. Came back to some failed backups, and other fun server issues mostly with TFS (Team Foundation Server) again.

That's no fun! Didn't you restore that one from backup last week?

I discoverd last night that you can't move Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 VMs back to Hyper-V Server 2012.

did you upgrade it after you moved it?

Not that I am aware of, no special or additional steps were taken. Just did the storage/vm migration over.

Really Dell? Trying to throw Early Access (Beta) SAN firmware in normal updates stuff?

Another really bad day of forest fires have obscured the sky. Send rain please. I live in the bottom right of the big cloud of smoke.

@MattSpeller Would a fire extinguisher be of any service? If not, may I suggest travelling south for several hours to obtain cleaner air?

@dafyre heh... we start with helicopters and then move up to DC-3's, then move up to these babies.

Can you put out a fire with salt water? You just need some really long hoses and a big pump and you have plenty of water!

I believe is just burns the salt out of the water and then you just have water. Also causes corrosion in tanks etc. though.

Those planes that pickup water and drop it on forest fires... can't they use salt water? sure it will have to be fixed afterwords.. but still.
