So, out of curiosity, what is the selling point of your datacenter? What services do you offer and how do you compete with Amazon, Rackspace, Azure, etc.? We are exclusively an IT audience so some technical details about what sets you apart would be important. What's your "hook" for using your services over the established, enterprise servers out there?
How many redundant datacenters do you have?
What do you have outside of the US?
How do you price compare to Amazon (cloud) or someone like 3Z (colo)?
What is your uptime?
What technology do you offer?
-
It's so difficult to get involved in serious hosting these days with so many options. I am just curious on why you decide to host a datacenter for customers. It seems like alot of work for very little return.
-
Haven't they been around a while? I think @Doughnut @DoughnutDestroy works there as well.
-
The datacenter is very new and still figuring things out. The business is not new, but the datacenter business is pretty new, I hear.

Please accept my apologies everyone. I read some comments requesting details on BayPointe Technologies Data Center that I excluded when posting our Data Center invite. I am learning a lot over here and these sites like Mango are very new to me so my etiquette or Jargon might be off at times but please accept my apologies and I will get better. Thanks for the additional info. So your focus is colocation?
-
Yes my focus at this point is Colo!
-
I would lead with that in any DC conversation, as these days a lot of people jump to cloud as the default rather than to colo in their minds. So they will be a little confused or asking for clarification for that every time. I would describe the service right off the bat as a "Colocation Datacenter Service" or similar to make it super clear.

Thank you for the advice and the info. I agree and thats a great point. Thank you very much.

No problem.
