        I could see that being used at conventions... and maybe a conference room table...

            Maybe... although I would prefer that most hotels get decent wireless then a switch.

            This wouldn't be that bad for travel either, although there are smaller more effective ways to do this.

                Interesting form factor to be sure.

                I can see your point,.. however it would be better for it to be mounted to the underside of the desk, and properly managed so that the cables aren't in peril of being yanked out of the unit by foot traffic.

                  Until I got a Macbook which doesn't have Ethernet, I preferred wired Ethernet in hotels most of the time. Even decent wireless is unnecessarily complex to deal with much of the time. I love just plugging in and getting solid networking.
