In CT USA from Comcast Business, we had paid approx. $500/mo for a PRI Trunk, 20 DID's "free", and another 20 DIDs at $5/month (total). This was as recently as this spring, plus $10/mo per Toll-Free line.
Holy hell they are expensive. Why would anyone buy that?
that's definitely NOT expensive "for what it is"
Now - depending on how many of those trunks he really uses, and how many mins are actually in use - he might be way over paying compared to what he 'could' pay for a different type of service altogether.

Yes, it is. It's a fraction of the value of a non-PRI at many times the price. "What it is" makes its value SO much lower.

Right, he could pay less for more. That's the point. It's both that the price is SO high, and the service is SO low. Not just because it's ancient tech, but also because it's from a vendor that is so bad at reliable service.

Not broken out on our bill either. We have cable modem with 1 DID, charge is 39.95/month for 1 DID and unlimited US inbound/outbound calling.

That's consumer? Or for a business?

i'm waiting on a contact now to inquire about getting a BAA, specifically for use with HTTPS Faxing.
