Solved What is this Win 10 Taskbar Icon ?
-
I have a new windows 10 machine that once I joined to our domain started reacting sluggish and slow. There is an icon on the taskbar that I don't recognize. When I hover over it a popup from the taskbar comes up and I get some moving dots as if it is searching for something but nothing ever displays. I can't find anything in the taskbar settings that seems to control enable/disable and if I right click I just get the regular taskbar settings options.
It is the icon on the left in this snippet :

That may be a placeholder for their new "news and weather" thing on the taskbar.... because they haven't taken up the ENTIRE task bar with fluff nobody wants yet, they've made that a goal of theirs of late.

@travisdh1 You are exactly right. I didn't even think of that. I meant to turn that off but instead of turning off I had selected Show Icon Only, so it removed the text I was used to seeing but left the icon.
Thanks.
