Is this user using AD to sign in, and if so has their password changed recently that email may be attempting to resign in with an old credential?
Not to MC. But yes to Windows. But I don't think that Windows itself is generating the error in MC, but it sure could be.

Looks like the user is setting a screensaver to go after just a minute and had forgotten that it would lock her out.
So MC is displaying the error coming up from Windows. Would be nice if it denoted that.

@scottalanmiller who still uses screensavers. . . . . .

That's the fundamental problem, for sure.

Versus just a blank screen? Isn't the effect the same - a locked system?

No, a screensaver actively uses resources to operate. A blank screen is off.
Plus Cmmd+L locks the screen, no need for a screensaver to do that for you.

the screensaver also has a 'blank' mode which has an associated timer...
If the user set it at 1 min, I'm sure it's about security with them, not some stupid pipe drawing program.... so I'm back to my original comment.
blank screen/screen saver - who cares - end result is the same, a locked system.
-
@Dashrender The "lock screen immediately" isn't a default, that is your assumption. This user could very easily be using Windows 95 Maze for their screensaver.

Yeah, that was going on too!
