But I still assume the new edge in scott's case.
I wouldn't - I don't think even 2004 comes with new Edge by default... Haven't installed Windows 10 2010 fresh yet to see what it comes with.
Most of my users have not been offered new Edge yet, and my image has new edge only because I install it with Chocolatey.

Chredge is way better than Chrome any day of the week.
In what way?
Hopefully all the chromium stuff, and none of the google tracking crap! but likely MS tracking crap instead.
That's why Brave is the best choice if you want chromium based browser.

2010 installs the Chredge by default.
The latest round of updates forces the initial setup screen when you first log in. So annoying, and takes forever to load on computers running HDD.

What does using office 365 effect the browser? I've seen more often that Google chrome works better on O365 web products than IE or Edge (pre Chedg)

Well, traditionally MS support wouldn't support you if you used MS browsers. The push was always away from them whenever we'd have to engage support. "Make sure you are only on Chrome" was always their position.

Logging into what portal? I've never had an issue logging in office365 admin portal with chrome, but I can't get basic web elements to load with IE. it may work with Chredge now but I honestly haven't tried

The only thing that doesn't work on Chrome and other browsers from Office 365 is the Export to PST option but besides that it works well on the other browsers.
