There are instructions on how to reset the password in the controller's DB on UI.com. This is likely your best bet.

Of course, the last time I did this was in 4.x days.. so I suppose this option might not exist anymore.

That looks like what I might need to reset it.

          Thanks!

@Dashrender this worked to at least get me the username, fortunately we did have a password that worked so I'm logged in.

            Thanks

Of course the controller(s) that are on site actually aren't managing the AP's at all. . . which means I'll likely have to factory reset the AP's, create new wireless networks and go from there. . .

I've worked in 1 place that did UniFi correctly. Ran their own controller on site with just the management port open to the internet. Everything was joined to the controller on premise to the proper site inside the controller. Just worked so much better having a single place to go when you were managing hundreds of sites.

@travisdh1 Yeah I'm thinking what happened is someone setup a Unifi Controller on windows at some point, then they engaged us and said yeah we don't have access to the AP's but its all still working. So they were sold a physical cloud key, and still the AP's weren't adopted.

Assuming you're at an MSP now, do you host a controller that you could just build a new site for and adopt the APs too?

This is what @Bundy-Associates and @NTG do.

If I had a dollar for every time this happened... you all know the rest.

That is the plan, but for now this is just janitorial work.
