Is there a way to know the original folder for an item listed in the Recover Deleted Item window in Outlook?

I have an end user that needs to recover all their drafts, but I see deleted items from all folders in one list.

Perhaps you can see if you can open them in the archive file. It should have an extension ending in .pst. You also may have to go deep into the HD to find it.

Not that I'm aware. From Recover Deleted Item's perspective, I'm pretty sure the Deleted Items folder is the original folder.

If there is a way to know this, it would be from the email system, not from Outlook, and would be dependent on what the email system is and how it logs and so forth. But since emails in folders is ephemeral (they can move around all the time) it's a complicated thing to answer regardless.

Indeed. I always forget people attach outlook to non exchange servers.
