News about the new Nextcloud Talk 8.
      https://nextcloud.com/blog/talk-8-better-faster-easier-and-ready-for-your-contributions/

      But did you see this?

"To prevent accidental clicks, Talk will warn you during a call that navigating away from the page will end the call."

Is this normal in other VC applications? Clicking off the page will end the call?

      Just curious......

I would expect this in a browser based setup. From a workflow perspective, the call should be opened in it's own tab, then move to another tab to continue working in NC.

I would expect links posted in the call would open in a new window... but that's just me.

yeah, a good working system would do that, but I've definitely run into ones that don't.

Leaving a web page ends the app in that page? Yes, it's 100% universal. Just how web works.

That's not the issue, AFAIK. It's people just navigating away for whatever reason.

It didn't occur to me until I read your remark that they meant browsing to another url in the same browser tab. When I read it, I thought they meant clicking to another application running on my computer. It all makes more sense now.
