Wow. Glad I found this post as our company does not have enough resources to purchase W10 licenses for all our PCs in our network. Has anyone else here went ahead and used the methods above to obtain a free license key? If so, do you recommend doing this for 100+ PCs?
It's not a new license key, it's making your existing license key into a Windows 10 valid one. It's still the old key that you had before. And yes, you'd definitely use this for any number of machines, it's not limited in some way to just small numbers at one site. In fact, purchasing Windows 10 licenses if you already have free upgrade rights would be pretty wasteful.

Likely the ability to upgrade won't change, if there was time/date detection, we'd already have heard about it.
