I have a user who got the following cert error this morning.
Is it possible (likely) that the cert is complaining about a component on the page, and not the URL at the top of the page compared to the cert?

No. The cert you see there only runs on the actual URL and not other components.
The browser will list each component separately if they are different.
Those component certain can then be bad. But they would not be visible by clicking on the very in the address bar.

Then again you are using IE. so no idea wtf that browser does.
Normal modern browsers warn about errors on page components and you get the detail there.

This error came up while loading the page - not because the user clicked on something, or clicking on the lock in the address bar.
