Hmmm... I like the stream but I am now going to see if I can't find the pages option.

I have no clue where the setting is off the top of my head...

Yep found it shortly after I posted. I guess I had never dug into the settings too far... ML is much more responsive now that I've turned pagination on.

So how does it look when you have zero reviews on SW? I haven't even attempted to tackle that yet as its hard enough for me to get a customer to find time to do a case study, let alone have them go create a SW profile to go write a review for us.

Do not ask customers not on SW to join SW just to submit reviews. I got furious/livid at another vendor who did just that.

@SarawithanH, there is a reason Quorum GGs and I are like oil and water...

@thanksaj That's literally what we were encouraged to do in a round about way by our SW account manager. (Will I get in trouble for saying that on here?)

Oh, really? Honestly, I'm not surprised. It's a win-win for SW. New members, more content for THEIR site. Well, let me advise you: DO NOT DO IT! 🙂

Funny thing I just realized: if you watch the demo, and the fact that Quorum is a customer of theirs, it might explain some of the reviews... just food for thought.

Get them on Spiceworks, have them write a reveiw, and then let them become active in the community. Its not an issue to tell someone to write a review about a genuine product that they feel passionate about. Its an issue when you have pimentos do all your reviews. It just makes everything look fake.

Exactly. If they were encouraging their customers to join, review AND participate in the community, even a little, I'd be thrilled. But when they tell their customers to create an account, do one review, and then they can be done with the site, it's like you said. You get 100 reviews with 98 of them being by someone Anaheim or lower....

Exactly. That was my frustration. Were they technically doing anything "wrong"? No. But they were creating a skewed perception and then advertising based on that. Their marketing people, at least, post a link to their reviews page and brag about the number of reviews they have in their email sig! Ticks me off...

Personally it ticks me off, too

On the other hand, I am sure those guys are all about the commission they get from it. Sales people that aren't in your face probably lie just as much if not more.

Yeah, there was a huge debacle about it. The official word was that they weren't doing anything wrong, so SW refused to take action. Now I find out that they are promoting this action, and while it's upsetting, I just don't care anymore.

                                          link?

There were many threads where it was mentioned, and a lot of the threads are in admin and mod, which I don't have access to anymore. SPs had some, and a few elsewhere. Too much to track down.

I never really pay attention to the reviews on Spiceworks. If I'm looking for a product, I might start a new thread asking for recommendations, or I might search for other threads where people make recommendations. But I don't look at the review section. Am I unusual?
