      I had this user a few min ago and Outlook would not open. It partially opens but just says processing for hours she says. It is the installable version and 64 bit. I googled real quick and found the solution and implemented so she is up and running now. However, does anyone know why this happens, as in what is going on in the background that would cause this?

        Can you provide the solution?

        As for why this is happening I don't really have an idea.

          @dustinb3403 Oh yeah sorry. Win + R.....outlook.exe /safe
          Everything works like that but it is in safe mode so still trying to find out why to get that part fixed. No idea what safe mode will prevent her from doing but I'm sure it will be something and she will be griping at me once more.

              @dustinb3403 Thanks! I looked up how to do that and that seems spot on for the problem. Appreciate the feedback

                We used to get this problem a couple years ago on some of our users. Starting in safe mode and then immediately exiting and starting in normal mode always seemed to work as a quick workaround. Haven't had a user report this in a while though. We're running Office 365.

                  @zachary715 Ok thanks. We are using Exchange on site.
