    squid service cannot be started !!!!!

      @thanksaj i tried to start the service from the web GUI of pfsense

                    @IT-ADMIN where is the log file exactly because i checked in this file /var/squid/logs/access.log but it doesn't show any thing about the service status

                          after the upgrade i reboot it many times
                          but since this morning the squid service not wanting to start

                              The access log is the log of what Squid has allowed. If Squid is not running, there is no process to write to that log. That log will never show anything about Squid's behaviour. You need to look at the system logs to see why a process is not starting properly.

                                i forget to say that recently i tried to add a captive portal, but i deleted it

                                            @IT-ADMIN oooooooof it works now, i found the solution here https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=69781.0
                                            i changed the hard disk cache location from /var/squid/cache to /var/squid/cache2, it solved the problem
