I think I need to be schooled on the proper way to add and organize shares.. Instead of learning the wrong wa...

We use shares rarely. But back when we did, CNAMEs for the servers, and then direct access to the shares after that point. Rarely would we use symbolic links, but you could. But often if you were going to go that far, you'd want mapped drives. So the SL niche isn't all that big, IMHO.

I only use symbolic links in Windows for cheating crashplan.

DFS Manager and Computer Manager. Those are really the best GUI tools built in for share management.

Hmm, I must have seen another post by IRJ in here thinking it was the original post. Didn't see the Fedora part. Unless the OP was heavily edited or I just looked at the wrong topic... It looks nothing like the one I thought I was replying to.
