Beacon BLE

Does anybody have any legal knowledge on Beacon BLE. I am looking to see if there are any legalities to be concerned about. Especially about placing them in places that are not on your property such as public places, competitors store, convention centers.

True public spaces have no rules on this, other than littering/loitering. I mean it is illegal to attach things to poles and alter public facilities. so all you can do is set it on the ground or something.
Everything else you mention is not public. it is private property and generally, no you are not allowed to do anything to it.
That is just general. Then you get into intent, which does play a factor.
What you are attempting to do?

@jaredbusch sounds like he's attempting industrial espionage... so legality might not be on your side.

Is this some sort of Bluetooth hotspot?
You want to connect to people's BT devices as they walk by? -
