Is there any issues with deleting a GPO? I have a few Printer GPOs I want to rebuilt - and wonder if it's easier to Delete them and then Using Print Management re-deploy them.

The printers will be still there, setup the same GPo to delete the printers as first priority and at the new printers. I don’t like lingering GPO settings.

I always make sure the GPOs are backed up before I delete them.

After that, with printers, the route I take depends on how they are deployed.

Typically, they should be deployed via GPP. If so, just set the current printer/copier to "Delete" instead of "Update" or "Replace". Then add the new one below that.

Then after a while, verify the old deployed printer isn't showing up in anyone's printer list, then you can go back into the GPU and remove the "Delete"d printer from the GPO, leaving the new one.

@dustinb3403 you should go retrieve any and all scripts/how-tos/etc that you have created from the site that shall not be named before they lock you out (their spies lurk amongst us as we speak). Post them here, tag appropriately, then they will be an available resource, easy to find.

That's funny. Who do we think the spies are? And who cares if they lurk here? What can they even do?

They can launch specious lawsuits that bankrupt the competition, even tho their issues are all consequences of their own decisions through the years. **** thing to do, but we know a little bit about what they've been pulling.

@dave247 I have a few ideas about who they are specifically... but after they decided to be a bunch of dicks about anyone here posting links to their site that shall not be named, they created an account here to spy, presumably. Lot of former 🌢 folks here... Lots of πŸ–• πŸ–• πŸ–• πŸ–• πŸ–• for their informers.

That isn't possible as my account has already been terminated. I happened to find that one in my own backups.

Probably, they don't want to tank their SEO even more than they already have by blackballing me, Scott and many others.

It's a public site, doesn't take much for someone to inform, lol. It's a bit like tattling on a billboard.

@scottalanmiller Sure, but the fact that they made another account here right after they closed your account there is a bunch of shady horse-cockery.

Don't you recognize melodrama when you read it??? πŸ™‚

That sounds a lot like calling out your Husband by doing this to his ride.
