One has to ask... if a new television series is made, and it doesn't make it to Netflix, did it ever get created?
(If a tree falls in the forest...)

Unless it goes to Hulu, where you get to pay for premium service that still gives you ads. There it will continue being unseen.

Or you can pay even more for no ads. Also, Hulu doesn't have digital surround, so that is my last resort.

@wrx7m my beef with Hulu started way back when they took over and ruined southparkstudios.com. Suddenly, it's all "powered by Hulu", and when you went to watch an episode, it showed an ad, then blocked the video with the "please disable your adblocker" bs. So no matter what they do or don't offer, Hulu can eat every bag of dicks available.
-
Hulu is just tripe. Unable to skip ads while costing more than NF or Prime. 3 minute medicine commercials. Over and over and over again. Every ten minutes.
It is also owned by Comcast Fox NBC.
If you want internet video services to become the wasteland that cable tv is, give hulu money.
Seriously, if it isnt on NF or Prime it doesnt even exist. -

It's not a great service. Paying for it at all is bad enough, paying extra is adding insult to injury.

Well, I watched the first two episodes of Star Trek Destiny - meh.
I agree, the new Klingons are horrible. Who's person in charge of alien design? I'm guessing they have a background in horror films. That all one color black face just made me think of aliens and horror movies in general.
And it horribly doesn't fit the timeline that's already been established Enterprise and TOS - i.e. in TOS, klingons had no head ridges, and in Enterprise, they explained why so many Klingons didn't have head ridges.
So I guess we have a completely new universe to look forward to. Heck this one might not even have Captain Kirk on the Enterprise.
Oh and what about cloaking? Now I can't recall if Klingons had it in Enterprise or not?
I agree. You can't say you are in the same universe as all the TV series and then ignore the cannon that they have established.

SW:TFA was painful to watch. It was still better than the Star Trek reboot. Not the new TV series, but the one with the characters from TOS.

Can't agree there - was the ST reboot great? nah - was it OK/good - sure. though I absolutely hated them destroying Vulcan - which of course created a whole new timeline.

What do you mean? The ENTIRE new Star Wars story completely diverges, in every way, from the 7, 8, and 9 stories. The wrong people are alive, the wrong people are dead, the story isn't even close.
-
@scottalanmiller Are you talking about those Timothy Zahn books? Not sure those were ever canon, though they would have made excellent movies to wrap up the story of Empire, Rebellion, Jedi, Sith

That's where they forked? I thought it was the very fact that the rogue Romulan ship went back in time and destroyed Kirk's Dad's ship while he was being born. That's a pretty major fork right there.

LOL - in the grand scheme of things, that was a pretty minor fork - kirk born in space instead of on Earth. OK you're though, that was the first shown fork.

Do you not know Star Wars? I'm so confused. Han died, for example. And Correcant (sp) was destroyed. Given that the main story of 7 takes place on a blown up planet, pretty non-canon.
