Recommended reading. Opens with a staggering account of American hubris and an example of how completely incapable we are of protecting Seoul. But the home owners who are stuck are likely armed (being texas) so you have to shoot them before they can shoot you and call for the police. WOOP-WOOP

Same religious philosophy of the private school that I went to in the 1980s. They preached wealth doctrine and everything looked to Victorian era rich tent preachers and nothing to the Bible. Exact same "bad things happen to bad people, rich people are to be worshipped" cult practices.
