Well, that's one way to start the honeymoon off with a bang.

            https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2017/08/ibm-and-sony-cram-up-to-330tb-into-tiny-tape-cartridge/

It's related to IT but we don't have an IT News Thread.

This is pretty amazing but how fast would this be able to write?

In other words, tape will remain relevant for a long time to come.

No doubt about that. IIRC it isn't a volatile media and can last decades in controlled storage.

Now that is a sleek looking car. I'd be interested into looking into it if it hit production.

I'm aware :). The proto for this hit 234 mph I believe.

Time to bypass on this thing. I'm not a car guy so this isn't something that I had done before. If they hit production there will be cars on the street capable of 234 mph if they get the fully outfitted version.

I'm not much of a car guy either, but imagine self driving cars all zooming around at 200+ mph.

Wouldn't have to worry about deer at that point. . .

Or a means of keeping the roads clear of obstacles, and mandated seat belt use before the car moves.

Screw the seat belt. I'm going 5-point harness.
