Website Localization Testing - E-commerce Manager Requesting 3rd-Party VPN/Proxy
-
I just received a request from our e-commerce manager requesting a 3rd-party VPN/proxy to make his IP change to different geographic locations. He says he wants to "test localization for Google and Amazon". Is there be a better way to do this?
-
Are they wanting to change the geolocation tag on the IP? Using a proxy isn't really the way to fix that. Better to just get the database in question updated to the right location for the IP.
-
You can remote into (like with RDP) machines in different locations. VPN is probably easier.
-
I am pretty sure that he wants to verify the way that it displays for users while in that location.
-
Does anyone have recommendations for a reputable service that has a global selection?
