At 21 billion transistors and 12nm manufacturing process, the new NVidia Volta based V100 is one crazy powerful GPU. The V100 is nearly the largest single silicon chip ever produced, by anyone. The V100 comes with an insane 5,376 cores for graphical processing and 672 tensor cores for machine learning! This doesn't just make the V100 the top GPU, but the top TPU as well, beating out Google's own dedicated TPU units. At more than 120 teraflops, this thing is off the charts.
The first server with V100 processors is expected to ship with eight processors, meaning 48,384 cores!
