5Nine Free Hyper-V Manager No Long Available

This product is no longer available as a free product. It is only paid. At the end of the 30 day evaluation the product will lock and be unusable. I just received this confirmation after putting in a price quote on their website. They were unaware that SSL was turned off on their website and they changed support numbers apparently which is why that number didn't work.

SSL isn't off, it just looks like they are using something like Wordpress and have not addressed what needs to be addressed to handle SSL on it. A fairly common problem. Looks like their CSS isn't handled properly.

ManageEngine may be the only other solution out there (at least that I can think of)

Not needed, but can make Hyper-V was nicer. 5Nine isn't web based, though, and doesn't run on anything but Windows so it was never great, but it was an upgrade. Without 5Nine you want Windows tools for GUI access to Hyper-V (consoles and such, PS is fine otherwise) and that creates version dependencies and such that are less than ideal.
This is the weak point for me with Hyper-V. Extremely difficult to manage centrally or at scale. MS expects you to buy their own "third party" SCCM support product to do Hyper-V management well and that doesn't work for most people either because of cost and/or because it's limited to a single company.
For MSPs, for example, things like XO are godsends. Centralized management for multiple installations, no need for Windows licensing just for a GUI interface, etc.

If he doesn't soon, someone else will. 5Nine has kept that part of the market at bay with a free offering. This is going to change how other vendors view that space, very quickly.

I don't see where it gives you a console. That's really the only important part.

Oh I'd happily be a XO user if Xen itself was not the ugly step sister of the VM world. Some of the stuff it is doing is just too special to really throw it into the mix of offerings, so its hyper-v or (heaven help us) VMWare.
