I am also in the market for a decent portable projector.
I do not need tiny.
I do not need to game.
I just need to do presentations.
I have no idea what is good or bad.So I want you all to help me narrow down the field.

What is your max resolution?
Will you always be connected via hardwire?

Not really relevant as I have every adapter for my laptop. But if you make a person pick, HDMI is always safe.

Want better than 800x600, I think that makes for a horrible presentation.

Trust me, very relevant. Some projectors & video devices do not "play nice" with the Apple mini Display Port adapters

Only 1280 x 800, but it drives much higher resolutions when an external monitor is connected.
