It looks really professional, but does have some major issues.

      Does it?

        @scottalanmiller Yes it does.

I've had several business owners require a custom signature of their written name, in their hand writing for communications with customers.

        It looks bad ass.

        Thank you,

        Signature

I think it would come off as uninformed and out of date.

Why would you think a signature would be uninformed and out of date?

What's the difference between a plain text signature, and one with a nice hand written name?

Uninformed... because it does nothing useful. Out of date because it is a vestige of the 1950s.

Difference is a bloated image file or text. One understands email, one does not.

@scottalanmiller While I understand the sentiment it still looks pretty cool.

Regardless of the issues of bloating email with attachments (which may actually just be attached) rather than in-line.

I'd have to see it, but it sounds really dorky.

I don't think it looks bad. It just makes it extremely easy to capture the guy's signature.

I wouldn't want to send anyone a copy of my hand-written signature. Seems like a risk to me.

We found a bug in Outlook for Mac where some images would prevent the Mac from sending and responding to users.

I've gone back and forth over the years. For a while I had our organization's logo in my signature. I no longer do. I seem to flip flop between sending emails as plain text and then going nuts with HTML formatting. I think I just get bored and need a change-up every now and then, lol.

The reason why I removed the logo from my signature was because to our mail server (Zimbra) every email I sent appeared like it had an attachment. So doing a search for "all emails I sent with an attachment" was not very helpful...

I had to add this registry key to all of our Outlook 2016 configurations to make our signature images actually appear in the messages.

                                [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\Mail] "Send Pictures With Document"=dword:00000001

Tons of email systems do that, it's amazing how few people will ever see the email formatted as intended. It must be like 1%.
