How does the application look?

Like Trello, ha ha. See my screenshot above. My internet is flaking out at the moment.

I think I've stumbled across a number of bugs in the Ubuntu snap. I'm going to try to build it by hand and see what happens.
Edit: If I click on any of the cards to make changes, it tries to send me to 127.0.0.1 ...

Maybe it is an early release?
-
I installed manually following their Install instructions from (https://github.com/wekan/wekan/wiki/Install-and-Update#install-manually-from-source) and it works better now. I can actually click on the cards, lol.
You still get the error when you create the user. That appears to be because I do not actually have an SMTP server setup to send emails.
The admin page is simplistic. You can disable self-registration and allow only the folks you have invited to create an account. And you can also configure SMTP server settings, but I have not tested that.
Looks much better now...

Appears to be so. The install instructions that I followed pulled the most recent version from Git.

How does this compare to Kanboard? Reading the feature list between the two, Kanboard appeard to have a few of the features I would consider to be critical for efficient use of a Kanban style approach like task dependencies, Gantt charts, Milestones, ability to copy a board's tasks to a new board (a la template). Curious is anyone has first hand comparison.

This one appears to have a hosted option... The style of task management and all is still the same though. Kanboard.net has likely been around longer.

Kanboard does not look tied to Debian either. They took the time to give clear instructions (including SELinux needs on CentOS) for many systems

Kanboard definitely looks a lot more polished.

The one thing I still haven't been able to figure out just yet is how to create task dependancies so that setting one task's start time is dependant on its predecessor. This would let me properly display the Gantt chart with timelines aligned with expected completion. I know I've seen something once about how to set it up but I couldn't get it figured out and haven't had much time to get back to it.
