Issues Installing Fedora 25 on Intel FakeRAID Device on Asus RoG G701

We've just purchased a Asus G701 gaming laptop and would like to install Fedora25. This laptop came with two NVMe 512GB SSDs in a RAID0 array. Before trying to install F25 we removed the array and tried switching the SATA mode to AHCI. However the AHCI option isn't available and you only see RAID. We've tried upgrading the BIOS firmware, but it is already the latest.
In RAID mode trying to install F25 doesn't work, as Fedora cannot see any of the SSD drives. We've tried editing the grub prompt and removing rd.md=0.
I've also tried installing Fedora26 alpha, but his has the same issue.
The RAID controller is an Intel RST and the SATA controller type is NVMe.

If you cannot disable the RAID, then you are stuck and must create a RAID device, either RAID 0 or RAID 1, and it is what it is. The Intel device is FakeRAID, but that cannot be avoided here apparently. So until a RAID device is created, there is no way that the disks will be visible to the OS.

If the RAID was disabled, Fedora would "just see" the disks. That it cannot means that you really have no choice. Without being able to disable the RAID setting, you are stuck.
Now if you create a RAID array and it still cannot see the array, that's a bigger problem.

If he creates a RAID array using the Intel utility, Fedora still cannot see it. Looks like the Intel FakeRAID driver is missing.

@scottalanmiller Understandable if this is a brand new laptop with shiny new chipset.
Seems to be a pattern with these RoG devices though -
Part of the problem is that each RoG is very different from the others.

What if you do RAID 0 on each drive separately?

You could try the rawhide version of fedora, it is using 4.11 instead of 4.8.6

He tried the current alpha release, worked the same.
