Here is a picture of the Ubiquiti SDN switch. It was all over their site a few weeks ago. Now no sign of it. image.jpg

It used to be under the LAN button in the site. Now it just says "coming soon".

Ubiquti stuff is great. I got to play with a bunch of there mFi sensors a few years ago. Pretty neat and much cheaper than anyone else.

Their online community is devolving quickly from promised products that aren't shipping and instead of releasing are disappearing from their site.

Their users are getting pretty unhappy.

Hopefully they actually make this new stuff.

yeah. i'm part of a "kickstarter" Coin, that is figuring out promise vs product and what happens when promise > product. ubiquiti hopefully has enough steam from their wireless goodies to prevent that from happening.

I only participate in the part of their community for the equipment I am using so I do not see that side of it.

I definitely think that they are moving too fast on this without a large enough supply chain.

I put in a bit of time talking about their upcoming VoIP platform so I see a bit of the new stuff being discussed.

It's been that way with the UnFi Software for a while now. Even 3.x is still in beta, though that's what most of use used in production as it works better.

They actually call it something like fast track or something to try and convince people it is not beta.
