Skype Video Call Recording
-
Looking to do some Skype video call recording in the future, and are looking for recommendations for software that can accomplish this. I've looked at the list on Skype's website: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12395/how-can-i-record-my-skype-calls
My question is has anyone used any of these pieces of software, and can make a recommendation? Are there any other options you'd recommend? Are there any free/open-source programs that will accomplish the same thing?
Thanks,

Have you used skype for a conversation on call but not used up till now for video call recording. But skype is good for free video calling. I have read the good review about ever at here.

What is the purpose of recording the calls? I am asking because maybe skype isn't the best tool for the job.

Assuming this isn't Skype for Business, you'd have to use any third party software that can capture video and audio from your computer.
The link there list a bunch of options, but I've never used any of them. A software we do use here for capturing audio/video is Camtasia. It works, but is likely more then you'd need for this.
With S4B the host can record the call, participants just have to sit there..

Skype is the means we have to work with. The purpose is simply to be able to look back on conversations with friends and re-watch them.

Not S4B, just plain Skype.

Are you really going to watch recorded skype conversations? That seems like an unusual scenario. Disk space can creep up pretty quickly...

Yes. And storage isn't an issue. I have plenty of storage laying around the house I can use.
