PC Matic Thoughts?

I'm working on a laptop and tablet for a user and they have PC Matic installed on both of them. Malwarebytes removed PC Matic when I scanned the laptop. This user insists that it is a solid program. When I look at there website I saw that Know4be was listed on their website which throws me for a loop. I was wondering what the communities thoughts were on this program. Thanks and looking for some guidance or opinions.

It's PUP, while it doesn't add viruses to the system directly like others, it doesn't keep them away.
Remove it.

From what I have read there is a high amount of false positives related to PC Matic. It's essentially a PC optimizer which I never really run because I've had scenarios where it will change a value in my registry and break things. With that said there are a lot of users I've encountered running things like PC Matic--it's fairly common.

You don't actually let users make IT decisions, do you? If so, hand over your IT pro card immediately and report to the nearest fast food place or Best Buy for reassignment.
If the PC Matic folks are partnered up with KnowB4, prepare for spammage.

I usually try to give advice instead of belittling people. I know it's a PUP but with KnowB4 I figured I would ask the community -

That's why they are hiring you... because they can't tell what is and is not viable software.

Nothing from them reselling some KnowBe4 content suggests that they are valid in at all. They aren't even claiming that KnowBe4 is tied to them.

You might want to talk with them about who is running IT. If they are, ask them what they want to do. If you, do what is right for them.
