I remember because after it came out, it was the final nail in the coffin for me to move to exclusively running Windows. That happened about the time I graduated high school in 2010. Around then, so yup.

 Well, the Ubuntu Edge failed before it even started.  Getting into phones sounds cool but that market is effectively buttoned up at this point. Even MS can't make inroads.
