@scottalanmiller Been duolingo off and on. I get to working on it and then stop for a while and my progress just goes back to crap. Need to learn spanish first so that I can talk to the locals that I work with. Then I want to attempt to learn hebrew or greek or something.

They keep adding languages. Some are easier than others for obvious reasons. I'm so excited as I've been waiting all year for this one, it was just released yesterday...

@scottalanmiller So, how many languages are you already fluent in? Computer languages and Klingon don't count. However, I think it would be cook if DuoLingo did add Klingon to their repertoire.

Only English but I've spent some time with Spanish and can carry on a conversation in Spain - enough that someone there mistook me for a Mexican (my accent sounds Mexican.) And I've been pushing hard on Italian. I've used German and Romanian a little, but don't really speak either. And I can read phonetically both Cyrillic and Greek.

That was pretty cool. I speak a few languages, but I've never studied German. I have only picked it up from my relatives. I was able to go from German to English like a boss, but I can't write in German for anything. By taking a crack at it though, I was able to learn how to spell words I already knew how to pronounce.

Up to 18% now in Italian. Making good progress. Getting to 19% seems to be pretty hard, though.

I have tried many apps before and I like Duolingo and Babbel+ the most . I'm currently 41% in french (duolingo), trying to get 20% in Swedish, Hebrew and Russian

I'd love to find the time to improve my language skills.

So far, I can order basic food and drink in French, Spanish and German. I just don't understand their replies though!

I think one of the best ways to learn a language is to actually go and live in the country, where you are forced to learn, or go hungry.

That's a major part of why we live abroad in non-English countries.
