Microsoft Planning to Combine Its Codebase

According to the BBC, Microsoft Plans to Merge Windows from three separate operating systems down to one. This seems like a sensible move. Make everything lighter and just customize on top, much more like Linux does, in many ways.

The fact that Windows 8 on Arm wasn't the same base as Windows 8 on phones was just ridiculous.. I'm glad to hear the possible merger.

OH? I thought all the apps that worked on RT also worked on the 'metro' interface on Windows 8(.1)?
