July? NO!!!! Upstate NY in the fall! If we're gonna have people from all over coming in at any point in the year, it should be when the colors are in full swing! Early October would be my preference!

Very true. But the conference is indoors and not outdoors. There are no "walking around town" activities until the conference outgrows the Holiday Inn.

To clarify my time frame, I expect to be in Japan from late July to early August.
So depending on your July date, it could easily be something I can make.

For now the conference will only be in the Rochester area. But the is no reason people couldn't start local meetups!
