That's fairly accurate. When there were fewer job sites, it was easier to search them all and apply directly. There's always a company's own site, but those positions usually attract people interested in the company more so than people qualified for the positions. Now, with a dilution in job sites, it's hard for candidates to find the right listings. This is why recruiters are popular. It's becoming common for a company to partner up with a recruiting firm to find candidates for their open positions. I've seen the positive impact that doing so can have on a company.

A bit of note - You haven't been there for all too long. Unless you're a project-based or contract worker, short hops lend to look bad on resumes.

Someone sent me a minion laugh audio file yesterday morning. I have now made it my ring tone. So during the day I keep my sound off on my phone but turn it back on after 5pm. Last night my phone rang and made me jump and then laugh I almost didn't answer the phone in time
