Actually I'm heading over to their site to see what kind of auto-update stuff they have. I know they have something. If it's included we might start using it.
Get ZeroTier added to Chocolatey. Then I will be happy. I already update most things with Chocolatey now.
I would love to see ZeroTier in the Chocolatey repos, and I bet that it would encourage adoption, too, because people like to try things that they find in there.
-
Will check that out... thanks!
The real problem is that none of us use Windows for our primary environment. We use Macs for desktop and Linux for servers/cloud, so that's where the love goes. But the entire SMB and corporate world uses Windows so we do need to spend more time on that platform.
-
Yeah Chocolatey looks cool but the site looks like it was designed in the 2000s! So not hipster enough for us.
-
Chocolatey is like the YUM of the Windows world.
-
Yeah, I think getting this into there is a good idea. We can probably just wrap our MSI.
We also probably want to make our CLI easier to use on Windows. Right now it's a PITA to invoke it. We're working on a much better CLI too.
-
I've long been a Chocolatey fan. It's a great idea.
-
It reminds me more of Homebrew (Mac) than yum.
-
Looks like Chocolatey packaging is easy. Coming soon.

Awesome. Looking forward to adding this to my process.
-
Wow... A vendor listening to its user base... Nice to actually see it in action!

I've got 3 computers running on ZeroTier currently, had a number of them come and go from my ZT network. Got them all updated to the current version today, but I'm still getting the "Your network contains members running versions older than 1.1.6. These won't be able to receive routes other than those for assigned IPs and will not be able to reach containers behind 6PLANE-addressed hosts" notice when I log into the control panel. Would that be expected? (Thinking one of the computers that was formerly in my ZT network might be causing it?)

Most likely, yeah. That is a new feature that's been added in the last week or so.

Yeah, it's really not a huge deal, which is why I just asked here instead of running and opening a bug report in their forums.

Anyone running there own controller?

Not any more... It's much easier to use their own hosted system... and it's free for up to 100 devices now.
-
@adam-ierymenko -- are you guys planning to support Distros like Mint for the Repos?
I am trying to upgrade the client on mine and figured I'd try the script on Mint 17.3 ... Getting an odd error when it runs... I can post here, or make an issue on Github. Which would you want me to do?
-
@dafyre Yeah. Do you got any addtional features from hosting your own that you don't get by using the free plan?

Not that I'm aware of. Except maybe your traffic not passing through their servers... I'm not 100% sure on that though.

Total number of possible users. Only thing that I know of.
