As a valued xByte customer, we wanted to extend a special 50% discount on SpiceWorld- on us! Just use code XBYTE50 when you register. If you haven't heard of it, SpiceWorld is a tech conference hosted by Spiceworks. The conference will be held in Austin, TX, Nov. 1-3- and we'll be there exhibiting!

        Cheers man

xByte is seriously missing out on an easy market up here in Canuckistan. You lot could clean house up here with nearly zero competition and a fat supply of hardware out of the USA

My take there is that they have looked into it and found it to not be as lucrative as it seems. I'm just guessing, but I know that I've spoken to Canadians about making that happen and it is taxes and government interventions blocking that from happening, not a lack of desire to service the great white north. Even if xByte got up there, they would likely be crippled to a point that you'd find the cost to be far higher than you wanted and the services less. Canada is a specifically terrible market to deal with.

            I hope you're wrong 😞

@scottalanmiller and @MattSpeller , Scott is on point with his answer. We do sell internationally, including Canada. In fact, we have many Canadian customers, but the taxes and exchange rate doesn't make us as competitive as it does in the USA.

We tried, and you're 100% correct - dell canada eats you for breakfast somehow - maybe large quantities would level the playing field. They discounted for us to the point where it wasn't even a question to go with new over xByte.

I'm still wondering when @MattSpeller is going to get his wood whittling business up and running. Specifically the wooden memes displays.

@MattSpeller We appreciate you considering us and giving us an opportunity for your business! If we can't match on servers, don't leave us out of parts deals. I know we own some things so well that even Dell would have to take a loss to be competitive. 🙂
