Solved XO - Unknown error occurred while trying to start a VM
-
You could try logging into the console of your XO VM and running the following command to view the output from xo-server:
journalctl -u xo-server -f -n 50
-
Checked the logs:
May 14 11:21:27 xoa xo-server[2730]: Sat, 14 May 2016 15:21:27 GMT xo:xapi Starting VM CentOS 7
May 14 11:21:27 xoa xo-server[2730]: Sat, 14 May 2016 15:21:27 GMT xen-api [email protected]: VM.start(...) [14ms] =!> XapiError: NO_HOSTS_AVAILABLE()I can manage those VMs via Xen Center without issues.

I haven't faced this issue before. The best place to post issues about XOA (which is the version you're using) would be on the XO forums.
If you want to build a version from the sources you can follow this guide here.
Thanks, I am setting up my XOA on Centos now.

I thought that XOA was Ubuntu only.

Guess not much difference on CentOS7

Our install script on here is for CentOS 7. Just used that, it's one click and you are done.
But XOA isn't something you deploy, I'm confused. Are you not really used XOA and just using XO? I saw that a response up top said that you were on XOA.
-
Scott above in the OP he was using XOA (the free sample version from @olivier )
Why @Ambarishrh is building XO on CentOS when the guide is built on Ubuntu (debian works too) IDK.
-
@Ambarishrh XOA is Xen Orchestra Appliance and is the paid for version provided by @olivier
XO is Xen Orchestra (from source) and is completely free of charge, without support from @olivier
-
I've been using XOA and now trying to setup XO from source. @DustinB3403 I really don't like Ubuntu and find CentOS much easier to use. So want to stick with that and setup XO on that.

Where can i find the XO script for CentOS 7? Couldn't find with the tag search
-
XO was designed by @olivier on Debian. If you want to build your own installer for it on CentOS you'll have to check their site for the "from the sources" and follow the instructions there.
You're on your own from this point on though.

Do you have a Default SR established?

Haven't done that, will check.
For now, i followed the advise of @DustinB3403 and setup Ubuntu server with XO! All working fine.
