Dropbox alternatives: ??
-
What else is everyone using?
Is there some other service with great upload & download speeds that won't cost an arm & a leg?
-
FTP's work a treat but kinda old school and dodgy to train users on. Sharepoint is another.
What kind of scale are we talking here? Site to site? Multiple users?
-
FTP, not in 2016
It needs to be "Dropbox/Onedrive" style access.
I shoot video of my kids club volleyball practice/tournaments/scrimmage, almost 1TB worth of video, that I'd like to share with other parents

We like ownCloud a lot.

Youtube? You're going to have to upload it to somewhere else at some point, why not skip the middle men.

Youtube, last time I tried, upload speed were terrible.
I'd rather pay for a service & get fast uploads
-
Because of the amount of data would Amazon Cloud Drive be a fit here?
Can you share out links with it, or is it not really appropriate for this kind of sharing?

Good grief, very different experience here with their speed. That sucks because it'd save them downloading it all again too.

Europe of North America, aka America's hat, aka Canukistan. Specifically just north west of Seattle.
Youtube and dropbox both will devour stuff faster than we can upload it

Which CA, The US CA or the real CA?
US CA is a big famous for being the worst of ISPs in the US. San Fran especially just sucks.
-
The real CA, SoCal to be exact (not to be confused with our cousins up North)
-
I use Dropbox everyday, and have no issues with upload speeds.
